POLICE: Woman arrested, accused of trying to run over husband with car

SALISBURY, Md. – A woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after police say she tried to run over her husband several times with her car.
According to police reports, at approximately 4:10 p.m. on Sunday, troopers with the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack were dispatched to the 8800 block of Mar Lynn Drive in Delmar for a report of an argument in the street.
When troopers arrived on scene, they say a man, identified as James Russel 3rd was standing in the street next to a large pile of clothes.
While speaking with him, police learned that his wife, Anissa Church-Russel, had run over his clothes several times and tried to hit him with her car on multiple occasions.
Police say a witness backed up the victim’s claims.
The victim was not hit by the car and was not injured as a result of this incident.
Church-Russel was placed under arrest and taken to the Wicomico County Detention Center to await a court hearing.
