UPDATE: Police investigate armed robbery in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md.– An armed robbery investigation remains underway in Salisbury.

Around 6:00 PM Thursday night, officials responded to reports of an armed robbery at the Mount Hermon Discount Pharmacy.

We’re told that a suspect displayed what was described as a black semi-automatic handgun upon entering the store and immediately ordered employees to the floor. He then stole an unknown amount of store product from the shelves.

Investigators say no one was injured and that the subject was last seen on foot just north of the property, towards the area of Route 50.

The suspect is described as an 18-20 year old male, approximately 5’5″-5’7″ in height, 120 pounds, and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up over his head to hide his face, with gray sweatpants.

Detectives are continuing to work with area business owners to try and obtain surveillance footage.
