Pocomoke Middle School prepares to deliver meals for families in need
POCOMOKE, Md. – Students and faculty at Pocomoke Middle School are preparing to give out close to 150 boxes full of food and other items to families in need this holiday season. School officials say they received food donations from the Maryland Food Bank earlier this week that will go to students and families in the area who may be food insecure. They say they plan to distribute these meals to their community on Thursday and Friday. They add that it’s very important to remember those who may be struggling during the holiday season.
“The holidays are a special time and as a school and a community we want to make sure our families have the very best during the holidays so we’re very lucky to have a partnership with the Maryland food bank as a school pantry program,”said Pocomoke Middle School Principal Matthew Record.
If you or your family is in need of some of these items you can contact the middle school directly at 410-632-5150.
