Perdue Farms honors veterans; place wreaths at War Veteran’s memorial
SALISBURY, Md. – Perdue Farms honored our fallen heroes with a formal wreath laying ceremony.
Dozens of community members made their way to the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center to watch Perdue drivers lay wreathes at the Wicomico War Veterans memorial.
The overarching theme Thursday, freedom is not free, and the very special ceremony reminded everyone that brave men and women gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
Valerie Garrison Robinson’s brother was a veteran. She works for Perdue and spoke at the event.
She said, “We have men and women who have died for this. It is such a blessing that we recognize them as a community as a county and as a state and as Americans.”
Friday Garrison-Robinson shared her compelling story of her brothers sacrifice.
She tells us today and everyday she honors her brother’s selflessness toward his country.
