OCDC brings back a tradition; puts on “Light up Ocean City” holiday display
OCEAN CITY, Md. – A few local businesses came together for a very special holiday cause, Light Up Ocean City!
Dough Roller, Kohr Brother’s, Dolle’s Salt Water Taffy and a few other businesses associated with Ocean City’s Development Corporation collaborated to put on “Light Up OC.”
Not to be confused with Winterfest of Lights, the light display features some of your beach snack favorites, including one with chefs tossing dough in the air representing the beloved dough roller pizza shop as well as another representing Kohr Brother’s iconic swirl.
Dough Roller General Manager Kevin Gibbs tells 47 ABC he’s just happy to see local businesses come together to support the downtown OC scene.
He said, “Whether it’s Jolly Roger’s at midtown, downtown, all the businesses in between, or even the residential areas, everyone is really starting to get behind it, and these are just the efforts of about six to eight years of private funding to finally get these up and running.”
OCDC has been working for close to a decade to get their lights put back on display for all to see, and Dough Roller specifically donated $10,000 on giving Tuesday to the project.
