November ‘Teacher Who Makes A Difference’ Award winner

BERLIN, Md. – On Thursday, 47 ABC got the chance to honor yet another bright star in our community as part of our ‘Teacher Who Makes A Difference’ award.

November’s winner Davis Ruark, is a third, fourth and fifth grade teacher at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. He’s been teaching there for just a year, but has been a local educator for a total of nine years now.

We had a chance to surprise him Thursday for being a teacher in our area that is having a positive impact on our youth.

“I think the best part of teaching is seeing students grow and learn each and every day and then seeing the to their faces when they learn a new concept or master a subject or skill,” explains Ruark.

The ‘Teacher Who Makes A Difference’ award is brought to you in part by Accurate Optical. If you know of a teacher like Davis who deserves to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to teaching our youth, you can nominate them on our website.
