National Folk Festival marketplace application now open
SALISBURY, Md. – Officials with the National Folk Festival have begun their search for the best artisans and craftspeople in Maryland and on the Delmarva peninsula.
Applications are now being accepted for the marketplace, and it will feature handmade creations only, from the finest artists from across the region.
It will include both deeply traditional crafts and more contemporary artistic expressions.
Last year, 29 artists were selected, and we’re told they will be expanding to between 35 and 40 this year.
“If you’re interested, go to our website, National Folk Festival dot com and look up festival marketplace, download the guidelines, you can see how the selection process goes, all the important dates,” said local manager Caroline O’Hare. “Every question that you need answered about joining the marketplace is there, and we would love to have you.”
