MSP Princess Anne barrack seeks donations for winter clothing, toiletries

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – The Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack is looking for donations from the community to help collect warm winter clothing and basic toiletries for families in need.  Officials say they’ll be accepting these donations from now until the end of January, which in turn will be donated to local homeless shelters and needy families within Somerset County. Items that they’re looking for include coats, jackets, gloves, scarves, tooth brushes and more.
They add that given the extreme cold weather many people can face during these winter months, it’s important that they have the basic needs to get them through the season.

“Those clothes at this time of year go a long way to help out the needy families in the community. It’s just sad that we have people that don’t have the necessary clothing so just giving back is what we’re trying to do,” said Lieutenant Patrick Metzger.

Officials add that all donations can be brought to the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack. Where donations are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
