MSP asking for help following numerous reported burglaries in Somerset Co.

WESTOVER, Md. – Maryland State Police are actively searching for information that could help them identify suspects believed to be involved with multiple burglaries in the Somerset County area.

Police say the incidents took place between October 12th and December 10th of this year. Four Somerset County homes were reportedly broken into, resulting in a total of 15 firearms stolen, as well as various additional items including jewelry, electronics, and personal documents.

Police also say the burglaries took place during daylight hours near the Westover area, and forced entry was evident in all four incidents.

The following firearms have been reported stolen:

  • .17 HMR Marlin rifle
  • 9mm Jennings pistol
  • 9mm Ruger pistol
  • .32 Iver Johnson pistol
  • SKS 7.62 by 39 rifle
  • .243 Remington rifle, brown stock, equipped with a scope
  • .270 Ruger rifle, wood stock, equipped with a scope
  • .5mm rifle, brown stock
  • .22 pistol with a pearl grip
  • .22 Remington rifle, nylon stock
  • “Flintlock pistol”, black in color
  • .25 rifle, brown stock
  • .308 Remington 700, stainless barrel, scope rings equipped without scope
  • 12 Gauge Mossberg shotgun, wood stock
  • .308 DPMS LR308 rifle, black, Nikon M308 scope equipped
