Milton PD seeking assistance on criminal mischief; cars and homes damaged

MILTON, Del. – In Milton, police are trying to find out who’s been shooting a BB or pellet gun at houses and cars in the Shipbuilder Development.

Milton Police Department says about 25 cars and four houses have been hit, resulting in some car windows being broken and marks being left on homes. They believe the damage was done during then nighttime hours in a matter of four days.

In response, we’re told they have increased their patrols and are asking the public to help if they know who may be behind this.

Chief Robert Longo tells 47 ABC, “It’s an unfortunate time because you have single families out there, single moms, single dads with children and now they have to take $100, $200 to repay glass instead of buying gifts for their children. To me, that’s appalling.”

Chief Longo says they are still getting complaints but as of right now they don’t have any leads. They also believe these attacks are random and not targeted.

If you have any information you’re asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or Milton PD.
