Locals gearing up for New Year’s Eve

SALISBURY, Md. – As we head into the final hours of 2018, everyone is getting ready to ring in the New Year.

47 ABC spoke with some locals to learn about their New Year’s Eve plans.

Some tell us they plan on having a quiet night, spending the night at home to watch the ball drop from Times Square on TV.

Others tell us they are planning on hitting the bars and sipping on some champagne.

Once local says she’ll be spending New Year’s at her church surrounded by family.

Whitney Turner said, “They have a New Years celebration and we talk about god. It’s quiet and the kids get to their own classes and have their own church time.”

Still don’t have plans? Salisbury will be having its own New Years Eve celebration.

The 6th-annual Ball Drop will be happening Monday night from 9 p.m. to midnight on North Division street downtown.
