Local organization giving holiday meals to the homeless

SALISBURY, Md. –  In Salisbury, a local non-profit is trying to do what they can to make sure every person gets a warm home-cooked meal this holiday.
Roots to Wings Inc. is giving out a meal, clothes, hugs and smiles to the homeless this Saturday at 10:15 a.m. at their storage unit in Salisbury at 2150 Windsor drive.

We’re told they raised money for the event through a fundraising effort called 100 Silver Spoons, but still need more donations and volunteers for Saturday’s meal.

“They never dreamed they would be on the street and lost and so we want to get out there and we want to show them we care, that people care about them and that there’s hope and we will be there to help them any way we can,” explains Ron Pagano, of Roots to Wings Inc.

They will be delivering meals to the homeless in the streets and the woods on Saturday, December 8th. To learn more about the event  or if you’d like to donate to the organization you can head to Facebook and go to the Roots to Wings Inc. page.
