Josh Hastings sworn-in to Wicomico County Council

SALISBURY, Md. -Tuesday night Wicomico county council swore in their newest member, Josh Hastings.

Family friends and more were all on hand for the ceremony.

Hastings signed into his position and was pinned by a family member symbolizing his official start to decision making in the county.

Building his campaign on “fairness and opportunity,” Hastings tells us he plans to do just that in his new position.

“My biggest concern as I’ve said it from the beginning is education. Both my brother and my twin sister are educators so I want to do my best to support our rural communities, our educators, and just make our county the best it can be.”

Hastings also says his family farming background will help him to promote agriculture within Wicomico County.
