Helping Our Troops: Operation Cookie Drop Off

SALISBURY, Md. – Operation: Cookie Drop Off is collecting cookies for our troops overseas this holiday season.

Judy Mangini, the campaign organizer, stopped by 47 ABC’s studio in Salisbury to talk about how this all started and how you can help.

As we know the holiday season is a tough time for our troops overseas. So break out your tastiest homemade cookie recipes and whip up a batch, or two, for Operation: Cookie Drop Off. Pack your cookies in either a small storage container or freezer bag. Try to include about 18 cookies in each bag.

Then on Friday, December 7th, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. you can drop off your baked goods at the 47 ABC studio in downtown Salisbury, located at 202 W. Main Street. You can also drop cookies off at various location across Delmarva including:

  • The American Legion Post 28 (Rt. 24 Millsboro, DE) on December 8 from 12 to 4 p.m.
  • Back Bay Art Glass Trading Post Plaza (John J. Williams Hwy on RT. 24 in Oak Orchard, DE) from Dec. 3 – Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Sunday and Thursday)
  • Millmans Appliance (28841 Lewes Georgetown Hwy on Rt. 9 next to Steeles Gun Shop in Milton, DE) from Dec. 3 – Dec. 7 during business hours
  • Sandy’s Dockside Footwear (R1 & West Virginia Ave. in Fenwick, DE) from Dec. 3 – Dec. 7 during business hours
  • Mason Dixon VFW Post 7234 (29265 Marshy Hope Way in Ocean View, DE) from Dec. 3 – Dec. 7 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
