HALO provides mail service for homeless to apply for jobs, get IDs

SALISBURY, Md. – In Salisbury officials at the hope and life outreach center are doing everything they can to help get the homeless back on their feet. That’s why they want guests to know about their mail service that can help them in more ways than one. On Wednesday, HALO officials posted on Facebook to let people know that they can be used as an approved address for the homeless to receive mail. They say this service is so important for those to get an ID, important documents, and even apply for a job. They add that they’ve had this mail opportunity for years but only a few know about the service.

“It’s for anyone who is homeless. They can come in. They have to apply and then they can start getting their mail here. It’s very important for them, it gives them some stability,” said program administrator Angel Simpson.

Officials add that the mail service is available Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM until 5 PM.
