Community donates hundreds of winter coats to HALO
SALISBURY, Md. – The Hope and Life Outreach center, a non-profit dedicated to helping out the homeless, received a very special delivery on Saturday.
HALO recently asked the public for donations of winter coats.
Peninsula Dry Cleaners heard that plea, and Saturday morning they delivered over 500 winter coats to the non-profit.
Volunteers rolled the coats in by the dozen to very grateful residents at HALO, and one volunteer tells us it was heartwarming to see the community give back in such a big way.
Volunteer Randy Edward Hicks said, “We here at Halo are very grateful for the people that have donated the jackets for people that are in need.”
