Cause of Salisbury porch fire under investigation

SALISBURY, Md. – In the early hours of the morning on Wednesday, a fire broke out on the front porch of a Salisbury home, causing $30,000 in damages.
According to the Office of the State Fire Marshal, around 4:30 AM, Salisbury, Pittsville, and Parsonsburg Fire Departments were dispatched to a house fire on Airport Road.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they could see flames billowing out from the home’s front porch and the fire was quickly growing.
30 firefighters were able to get the blaze under control within 45 minutes.
We’re told everyone inside the home was able to get out safely, thanks to the smoke alarm inside.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
