WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services (WYFCS) is asking for the public’s help in collecting supplies for a community program.

This summer, WYFCS began a new program known as “The Bus Stop Snack Shack”, where they set up at local bus stops across the county to provide snacks, community resources and free books to children as they get off the bus. The goal of this program is to allow members of WYFCS to meet families and children in their own communities in order to determine the best way to help them.

WYFCS recently learned that there is a great need for basic toiletries and cleaning supplies, since these are often the first items to be sacrificed when money is tight. With the upcoming holiday season, WYFCS will be collecting toiletries and cleaning supplies through December 1st, for gift bag distribution at their December events at Snow Hill Head Start and Pocomoke Head Start.

If you or your organization would like to help, please call Debbie Smullen at 410-641-4598, or you may drop off your donation at 124 N Main Street, Suite C, in Berlin.
