Woodbridge shuts down Howard, moves to semifinals

The 4th-seeded Woodbridge Blue Raiders won their 8th game in a row, dropping #5 seed Howard 28-0 on Friday night in the opening round in the DIAA playoffs in Greenwood.

The Blue Raiders got significant contributions from Richard Massey on offense, with the senior going for over 170 yards on the night. Jamon Kane scored two touchdowns, while quarterback Troy Haynes tacked on a rushing score. The Blue Raider defense was stifling all night long, pitching its second consecutive shutout.

Woodbridge awaits the winner of Saturday’s Delmar/Archmere final to find out their opponent in the semifinal round.
