Woodbridge knocks off undefeated Delmar; captures Henlopen South crown

You better believe that the Woodbridge Blue Raiders had November 9th, 2018 circled on their schedules. The final week of the 2018-2019 regular season and undefeated Delmar traveled into Greenwood, DE looking to capture the Henlopen South title.

Friday night did not go as planned for the Wildcats. A first quarter, 54 yard touchdown pass from Troy Haynes to Richard Massey would put the Blue Raiders in front 6-0 and the points would pile on from there.

Later in the first half, Massey would find the end zone on the ground from four yards out.

In the second half, Massey would tack on an 81 yard fumble recovery touchdown to put the Blue Raiders ahead 18-0.

Woodbridge hands Delmar their first loss of the season 25-0 while capturing the Henlopen South crown in the process.

Both the Blue Raiders and Wildcats will have to wait and see where they land on the Division II playoff bracket.
