Winter WonderFEST returning to Lewes this weekend
LEWES, Del. – Winter WonderFEST is making its way back to Lewes this Friday, November 16th.
Entering its third year, Winter WonderFEST features numerous light displays throughout Cape Henlopen State Park, a Christmas Village, a Visit Delaware Ice Rink, and several exciting special events.
The Visit Delaware ice rink has been expanded for 2018, by roughly 2,000 square feet. The ice rink is considered a centerpiece of Winter WonderFEST and takes place at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry terminal and Cape Henlopen State Park from November 17th through December 31st.
“Winter WonderFEST not only brings wintery cheer to the region but also drove 60,000 attendees from 31 states to the Delaware Beaches during the off-season in 2017. That is so important to the area’s many hotels, restaurants, and shops. It is a testament to the significance of partnerships between organizations that see value in driving visitation at this time of year,” said Delaware Tourism Director Liz Keller.
Winter WonderFEST is produced by Festival of Cheer, a non-profit organization formed by community leaders with the mission to enrich lives by creating cultural events and health-related activities throughout the Cape region, as well as to increase philanthropic support of organizations that support residents and visitors of Sussex County, DE.
