Two upcoming road work projects planned in Ocean Pines
OCEAN PINES, Md. – Ocean Pines motorists should soon expect delays due to two upcoming road work projects planned in the town.
The first project involves repair of the corner of the Manklin Creek intersection, where Ocean Parkway exits from the north side onto Manklin Creek Road, towards Route 589. This repair is set to begin tomorrow, November 14th, and should be completed by 3 PM on Friday, November 16th.
Officials say the southbound lanes of Ocean Parkway from Firehouse Lane to Manklin Creek Road will be closed as a result of this road work. Manklin Creek Road will also be closed westbound exiting to Route 589. Exiting traffic will be directed to Cathell Road during construction, and Firehouse Lane will be open for access to the recycling center, Public Works, and the south side fire house.
Line striping of Ocean Parkway and Cathell Road is also scheduled to begin on Monday, November 26th, weather permitting. Officials say the work for this project should be completed in two to three days.
