Suspect arrested in connection to Rehoboth Beach counterfeit crimes

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Rehoboth Beach Police have been able to identify both suspects captured in surveillance photos regarding counterfeit crimes that occurred in Rehoboth Beach in August.

During the early morning hours of October 21st, Rehoboth Beach Police, assisted by the Dover Police Department, located and arrested 21-year-old Rasheed J. Cobb, of Dover, for his involvement in a strong of counterfeit crimes that took place in August of this year.

According to investigators, between August 25th and 27th, Cobb allegedly passed counterfeit one hundred dollar bills at five separate businesses locating along or near the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. Cobb received merchandise and change in the form of U.S. currency.

Cobb was charged with five counts of felony first degree forgery, five counts of felony second degree conspiracy, and five counts of misdemeanor theft under $1500. Cobb was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

The second suspect pictured has been identified as 25-year-old Ishmael G. Lamin, of Newark. Rehoboth Beach Police have obtained warrants for his arrest for five counts of felony first degree forgery, five counts of felony second degree conspiracy, and five counts of misdemeanor theft under $1500.
