Signature Chefs Auction offers best food on shore, raises thousands for charities

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Locals had a chance to try the best foods the eastern shore has to offer while raising thousands for March of Dimes.

About 200 guests were on hand Thursday night to try some of the best foods and drinks from sixteen of the finest restaurants from across the eastern shore.

The Signature Chefs Auction has become a staple event that has raised $750,000 in 13 years for March of Dimes.

That money goes to support local programs in Maryland, as well as national research to ensure all babies have a chance to be born full term and healthy.

“We’ve got amazing people that have donated wonderful packages of food, travel get-aways, silent auction, and it’s just a great time to celebrate what we have been fortunate enough to have with our healthy kids,” said gold sponsor Jennifer Atchison.

Officials tell us they expected about 200 guests with a goal of raising $60,000 for March of Dimes.  That would push their grand total raised over the history of the event to around $800,000.
