Salisbury University Student Nurses Association collecting toys for kids with cancer

SALISBURY, Md. – In Salisbury, the Student Nurses Association at Salisbury University is collecting new and unused toys for the annual Toys for Kids with Cancer campaign. The campaign, which was originally started by local resident Julie Jones, provides children battling cancer and their siblings with presents for Christmas when their parents may not be able to do so. Organizers say they’re looking for toy donations that can be used for when a child is in a hospital bed.
Toys like handheld games, puzzles, nerf guns and more.

“SNA really prides itself on partnering with the community and being present in the community. We do a lot of events regarding children and with us being upcoming health care professionals its really important for us to be involved in that type of thing,” said 2nd Degree Representative Katelyn Wilkins.

The nurses association will be collecting these toys until Wednesday December 5th in Devilbiss Hall Room 224.
