Salisbury man convicted on assault and other charges
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been convicted on first degree assault and other charges stemming from an incident that took place in December of last year.
On November 8th, a Wicomico County jury convicted 25-year-old Arnell Bivens of three counts of first degree assault, one count of use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, one count of illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and ten related charges.
The incident took place in December 2017, in the 800 block of Parker Road in Salisbury. Bivens allegedly went to the victim’s home and pointed a handgun at three people. He fled the area but was later captured by Maryland State Police. Officials also located a 9mm handgun in the area.
Sentencing has been deferred pending a pre-sentence investigation.
