Salisbury ice rink to honor Pohanka Automotive Group
SALISBURY, Md. – While Thanksgiving is just a few days away, people are already gearing up for Christmas.
In Salisbury, work is already beginning on the city’s ice rink.
This is the second year that the city has set up an ice rink for the holiday season and this year, it will be located on the Ampitheater.
The city is renaming the ice rink and Ampitheater in honor of the Pohanka of Salisbury Automotive Group because they donated $25,000 for the creation of the rink, as well as another $75,000 to help complete the second phase of construction on the Ampitheater.
The generous donation was all part of Pohanka’s Pay it Forward program where they set aside funds to give back to their local community.
Conrad Morgan, the Marketing Director for Pohanka of Salisbury said, “We believe this is a great community we believe the Eastern Shore is a great place to live. anything to do to make it better we want to make sure we do it.”
The ice rink is set to open to the public at noon on December First.
It will be open every weekend in December leading up to Christmas.
