Police: Man arrested for raping teen

HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police say a 26-year-old man turned himself in on Friday after he was accused of having sex with a 15-year-old.

In early October, police were contacted about a sex complaint that happened in the 200 Block of Delaware Avenue, in September. Investigators determined that Damon Dudley had sexual intercourse with the teen victim, one time, while he was reportedly staying at the house with a family member of the victim.

On Friday, the Harbeson man turned himself into the Harrington Police Department and was charged with one count of rape fourth degree with a victim less than 16 years old. He was processed and arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bond pending a Preliminary Hearing in the Kent County Court of Common Pleas.
