Police investigating late night shooting in Smyrna

SMYRNA, Del. – A late night shooting is under investigation in Smyrna.

Detectives from the Smyrna Police Department were alerted to a shooting in the 400 block of Baldwin Drive, at around 10 PM Monday night.

We’re told that two victims, a 19-year-old male from Dover and a 17-year-old male from Smyrna, were shot in their lower extremities during an argument. Both victims are being treated at local hospitals and are expected to survive.

Police say they have identified suspects in this case, and currently have two adult males in custody regarding this incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time. Police say there is no active threat to public safety in the area.
