Parsonsburg man arrested for DUI

HEBRON, Md. – A Parsonsburg man is facing DUI charges following a traffic accident early Monday morning.

Shortly before 6:30 AM, troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on eastbound Route 50 at Porter Mill Road, in Hebron.

On arrival, police found a white Nissan Rogue in the median of the roadway. Officials were able to determine that the driver of the Rogue lost control of the vehicle, causing it to travel off the right hand side of the road, and spin out in the median.

The driver, 29-year-old Jerry Griffith, was not injured in the crash. Police learned that Griffith had been driving under the influence of alcohol with a suspended license at the time of the crash.

He was arrested and charged with DUI and taken to the Salisbury Barrack for processing, where he was later released to a family member.
