UPDATE: Massive power outage caused by accident

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md.– The Sheriff’s Office is now issuing out a traffic alert in relation to a massive power outage.
At 7:23 p.m. Worcester County Sheriff tweeted:
“Traffic Alert! For those traveling tonight. A motor vehicle crash has caused road closures on Route 13 in Somerset County near the State Police Barracks. The accident has caused a significant power outage in the area. Detours in place.”
As of 7:31 Delmarva Power is still reporting over 2,500 customers without power.
Reportedly wires are down and crews are working to restore power.
Estimated time for customers to have electricity will be around 12:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
