Operation We Care looking for donations for soldiers

SALISBURY, Md. – One local organization is reminding the community to think of our troops and those currently fighting for your freedom overseas.

Operation We Care is looking for donations so they can ship them off in boxed care packages, to our troops later this month.

They’re looking for toiletry items like baby wipes, men’s body wash, deodorant, as well as snacks like gum, Chef Boyardee pasta and microwave popcorn.

“At Operation We Care, every day is Veterans Day because it’s what we do. We support the military and first responders. We hear a lot of stories from troops overseas about how thankful they are to get these boxes,” said¬†Jeff Merritt, with Operation We Care.

If you are looking to donate those items to our troops overseas, log onto to operationwecare.org to find specific locations you can drop these items off at.

All donations must be received by Friday, Nov. 16 in order to be sent in this round of packages.
