Ocean City Comic Con returning this December

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City’s only pop culture event is making its return to the town next month.

Special guests from the worlds of comics, TV, and more, including Adult Swim voice actor Carey Means (Frylock and Aquateen Hunger Force, Jonah Bishop on Welcome to the Wayne), Superstar DC comics artist Greg LaRocque (The Flash, Web of Spider-Man, Stargate Atlantis, and more), and many others will be in attendance to meet fans and sign autographs.

Attendees will also have access to anime screenings throughout the day, informative and entertaining panels, a costume contest, vendors of geeky gods, and independent content creators.

A cosplay contest will prizes will also take place, and anyone who shows up in costume will receive one dollar off admission. Several professional cosplayers will be in attendance, including Katie Coe Cosplay, Ally Blaze Cosplay, Carter Cosplay, and the 501st Legion (Star Wars costuming club).

Attendees who bring a non-perishable food item for Diakonia Inc. will receive one dollar off the admission price. A portion of admission will be donated directly to the Hero Initiate, and to the Samaritan Shelter.

This one day event will take place on December 8th, from 10 AM to 5 PM, at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City. General admission is $8, children 9 years of age and younger are admitted free with a paying adult.
