Mountaire Farms to host “Thanksgiving for Thousands” event

SELBYVILLE, Del. – Mountaire Farms has announced that they will host their annual “Thanksgiving for Thousands” event once again this year.

This Saturday, November 10th, sixteen area grocery stores will be collecting non-perishable food items. Twelve different volunteer groups will be in attendance, handing out lists of what is needed and collected donated items.

Then on Monday, November 19th, hundreds of volunteers with come together at the Mountaire Farms warehouse in Selbyville to pack over 8,000 boxes with a complete Thanksgiving dinner for a family, including a Mountaire Farms chicken roaster, corn, string beans, yams, cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, and a brownie mix for dessert.

The packing will begin at 8:30 AM and will run until the last box is packed and loaded up, at around 3 PM.
