Milford man arrested on weapons charges
MILFORD, Del. – A Milford man is facing charges after he allegedly damaged a vehicle and then threatened to harm an individual.
On Monday, Milford Police responded to a report of an individual damaging a parked vehicle, in the Brightway Commons Apartment complex. Police identified 23-year-old Justin A. Johnson as the individual who damaged the vehicle, including using a knife to cut the tires.
Police searched the area in an attempt to locate Johnson, but were unsuccessful.
A short time later, Milford Police received a report that Johnson had returned to the residence, but once again fled the scene prior to police arrival. Officials learned that during the second incident, Johnson allegedly made threats to harm a victim inside an apartment, with whom he had a no contact order with.
Johnson was found later and taken into custody, charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by person prohibited, breach of conditions of bond, and disorderly conduct. He was presented and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $12,000 secured bond.
