Md. Governor candidates prepare for election results

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – On Tuesday, thousands of people cast their vote in one of the most highly anticipated midterm elections in recent history. There are a number of big races, but there may not be any as important as the Governor’s race in Maryland.

The atmosphere in the conference room at the Westin was electric, before polls closed on Tuesday. That’s where Republican Governor Larry Hogan’s election party is planned. Organizers worked to set the stage and get the crowd amped up with music, as they stood by to learn the results of this highly anticipated election.

Meanwhile, Democrat candidate Ben Jealous is having his party at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore. These parties signify the end of a long, and at times, heated race for the
Governor.

There was only one debate with no clear winner, but these candidates bring different experience to the table.  Most notably, the Governor has already served a full term as Governor, while Jealous has served as the President of the NAACP.

Hogan cares about education, healthcare and equality. Whereas, Jealous cares about business, civil rights and responsibility.
