UPDATE: Missing MSP K-9 found safely

UPDATE: Maryland State Police is reporting that Gunner was found safely Thursday afternoon.


EASTON, Md. – Maryland State Police (MSP) are asking for the public’s help in locating a member of their K-9 unit that went missing Wednesday night in Talbot County.

Officials say that at around 10 PM, MSP bloodhound Gunner was being walked from his handler’s home to begin his tour of duty when he noticed a group of deer standing in the handler’s yard next to his vehicle.

Gunner was able to escape his collar and chase after the deer into the woods nearby. He was last seen in the Skipton Estates Area in Talbot County, Maryland.

Police are asking the public to immediately contact the MSP Easton Barrack at 410-822-3101 if they see Gunner, and to not try and capture him.
