Maryland Natural Resources Police to collect toys for kids in need

SALISBURY, Md. – The Maryland Natural Resources Police are getting into the spirit of giving with their third annual Boatload of Toys drive.

As part of the drive, they will set up a boat outside of the Walmart in Salisbury this weekend and collect new, unopened items for less fortunate children with the goal of filling the entire boat up.

The event is part of the national Marine Toys for Tots program and gives people a chance to make a difference in their community.

Sergeant Mance McCall, a Cadet and Recruitment Supervisor said, “This is a good opportunity for them to contribute to the kids that unfortunately won’t have a Christmas, but we’re going to make sure that they do.”

The toy drive will take place outside of the Walmart on North Salisbury Boulevard on December 1st and 2nd from 10 AM to 3 PM.
