Kids can get fingerprinted at SBY Zoo event

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Zoo is getting into the holiday spirit as they gear up for their Critter Christmas event.

At the event, there will be 13 different craft stations for kids where they can create presents and gifts for others, or even just for themselves to keep.

Also at the event will be the Salisbury Police Department.

They are going to provide a digital fingerprinting service for children, and through that service, parents can receive one 8 x 10 fingerprint card and two laminated Identification Cards for their personal records.

Leonora Dillon, the Education Curator at the Zoo said, “[They’re] going to bring out [their] big fancy system and families can come by and get their kids fingerprinted and parents have a record that they get to keep on file. The police don’t keep the records, its completely for the parents records, but then they have their children’s fingerprints that they can have forever.”

Critter Christmas will be taking place on December 8th from noon until 4 p.m.
