Jeremy Norton, owner of Roadie Joe’s, winner of Entrepreneur of the Year Award

SALISBURY, Md. – One local entrepreneur was honored in the seventh annual MCE Awards banquet at Salisbury University.

The winner was Jeremy Norton, the owner of Roadie Joe’s, a restaurant on the downtown plaza.

Norton graduated from Bennett High School in 2005, and says he’s proud to run his business downtown.

Roadie Joe’s opened in 2013, and started small, but Norton says everything turned around when they hired their chef and listened to what the customers had to say.

“We’ve grown a lot.  We went from frozen burgers and French fries to fresh steaks, fresh seafood, daily specials.  Amazing happy hour specials, and we’re just trying to focus on what the customers want and we want the best,” Norton said following the award ceremony.

Norton describes himself as open minded and willing to run with an idea, which is true to the entrepreneurial spirit.
