James Farm Ecological Preserve to begin phase one of master plan
OCEAN VIEW, Del. – In Ocean View, Sussex County officials and residents celebrated the ground breaking ceremony for the popular James Farm Ecological Preserve. Officials say the groundbreaking was to kick off phase one of the preserve’s master plan. They say the plan addresses the pressing need for enhancement of the entrance and welcome area ,including a new entrance sign and driveway, and expanded parking facilities with a safe bus drop-off area for students. Officials add that the construction will help make the preserve better for each and every visitor.
“We are making this place even better because so many people love this farm. We had no idea of the growth that we would see and the use of the farm so we are accommodating that growth while protecting the natural resources and protecting the education programs that we have year,” said executive director of the Center for Inland Bays, Chris Bason.
Bason adds that the official construction for the master plan will begin Monday, November 19th.
