IRSD parents invited to Internet Safety and Cyberbulling Event

MILLSBORO, Del. – The Indian River School District is inviting parents to an Internet Safety and Cyberbulling Event, on Tuesday night.

Representatives from the Beau Biden Foundation will be showing a presentation designed for secondary school parents and other concerned adults to address issues of good digital citizenship, online safety and the dangers of cyberbullying. According to the school district, “It was created to help adults understand what children do online and address ways to foster healthy conversations about digital safety.”

Parents of all secondary school students in the Indian River School District are invited to attend. Doors will open at 6 PM and refreshments will be served. The presentation will begin at 6:30 PM. The first 50 parents in attendance will also receive a copy of the book “Bullying Beyond the Schoolyard: Preventing and Responding to Cyberbullying.”

This presentation is intended only for adults, so it is requested that parents do not bring their children.
