BERLIN, Md. – Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County (HFHWC) has announced that they will host a “mini build” fundraiser this holiday season.

This project is part of a partnership between HFHWC and the Bay Club/Carl Freeman Companies and Piney Island Construction. Volunteers from the affiliate as well as both sponsors will build a camper style playhouse to be raffled off just in time for the holidays.

The playhouse will be based on the 1950’s style stainless steel campers and will be designed for childen ages 3 to 10, with a total of 64 square feet of space, including a rooftop deck.

“The ‘mini build’ fundraiser is a fun way for us to bring awareness to our affiliate and even more importantly, to raise additional funds for our upcoming single family build in Bishopville. This is also a wonderful opportunity for someone to win the playhouse and make a child very happy this holiday season,” said Executive Director Andrea Bowland.

We’re told the playhouse will be on display at the HFHWC ReStore after November 16th, and will be featured on the HFHWC’s float in the Berlin Christmas Parade on December 6th. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase beginning November 9th online or at the ReStore in Berlin. Tickets are 1 for $25, 2 for $40.

The raffle winner will be announced in mid-December.
