Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County hosts Give Back Day
SALISBURY, Md. – Volunteers for the Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County went out to support a local community in need as part of their annual Give Back Day.
According to the Wicomico County Habitat for Humanity Development Coordinator, Christina Williams, volunteers from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and the Emmanuel Wesleyan Church participated in activities like recovering a community garden, building a playhouse and even constructing a house for low-income families.
“Service is very important, giving back to the community that we live in,” said Williams.
“Making sure that everybody understands that service is important,” said Williams.
Volunteers said the community event mostly took place at the Church Street neighborhood.
