Fatal accident investigation, victim identified

 

CAMDEN-WYOMING, Del. – Police say a man is dead after he reportedly lost control of his car, early Saturday morning, in Kent County.

The fatal accident happened at approximately 12:57 AM, on Willow Grove Road just west of Steeles Ridge Road, in Camden-Wyoming.

Delaware State Police say William Clough was apparently speeding in a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, when he lost control on a curve and his car spun out of control. The Chevy continued to spin and traveled off the north side of the road before overturning. Investigators say the 35-year old man was ejected from his car.

The Hartly man was brought to Kent General Hospital with life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on Sunday, November 25.

Police say Clough was not wearing a seat belt. Speed and impairment are being considered as contributing factors in this accident.

Willow Grove Road was closed for approximately 3 hours while the scene was investigated and cleared.
