EASTON, Md. – The Easton Police Department has received a another donation towards the expansion of its K-9 program.

Mr. and Mrs. Tindall of Lawn Irrigations System, Inc., Mr. Thompson of Spring & Associates, Inc., and Mr. Adam Malinowski of Millenium 2 Inc. Auto Glass contributed a total of $9,300 combined for the police department’s K-9 program.

Police dogs are used by many law enforcement agencies across the world to track down suspects, sniff out illegal materials, detect explosives, search buildings, and complete other tasks that human police officers cannot do as well as a dog can. Dogs are also known to be faster and strong than most humans, and cannot be intimidated. The presence of a police dog can prevent confrontations and injury to police officers and suspects. K-9 teams are currently in high demand with the current heroin epidemic across the nation.

If you would like to contribute towards the Easton Police Department’s K-9 program, please send checks to the Easton Police Department made payable to the Town of Easton.
