Eastern Shore Classic Dog Show comes to Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – Dog lovers are making their way to Salisbury to participate in the annual Eastern Shore Classic Dog Show.

On Wednesday, the Talbot County Kennel, Salisbury Maryland Kennel, and Mispillion Kennel Club joined forces to bring you five days of dog shows at the Wicomico County Youth and Civic Center. Events include obedience and rally competitions, while dozens of vendors set up to sell various pet accessories and toys to attendees. Officials add that more than 700 dogs and their handlers will be competing over the next couple of days to take home the ultimate title and become the best of the best.

“If you’re a competitive person and you’re a dog breeder, you’re here. We encourage people to come especially anybody who is considering purchasing a puppy so they can see the breeds in person and talk to breeders and figure out what dog suits their lifestyle and their family,” said Talbot County Kennel Club member Mike Doughtery.

Admission into the dog show is $5 for adults, $1 for students and all children under the age of 5 are free. The last dog show will take place this Sunday starting at 8 AM and will go on until 8 PM. To learn more about the event schedule, visit the website here.
