DelDOT announces closure of State Street to begin next week

DOVER, Del. – DelDOT has announced that one local roadway will undergo daytime and nighttime closures beginning next week.

State Street will experience closures in both directions from Pennsylvania Avenue to Columbia Avenue beginning on Monday, November 12th, and is expected to last through Friday, November 30th. The closure is due to the installation of traffic calming features.

Detours will be in place as follows:

• Traffic heading south on Governor’s Avenue to William Street, returning to North State Street
• Traffic heading north on North State Street to William Street, onto Governors Avenue
