UPDATE: Escaped inmate captured in Delaware
11/5 UPDATE: The Delaware Department of Corrections has announced that Benjamin Whitaker was taken into custody by Delaware State Police on Monday.
He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on escape after conviction warrant in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.

28-year-old Benjamin Whitaker reportedly escaped on Wednesday after he was released on an approved work pass. Whitaker is 5’6″, approximately 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos on his upper right arm, chest, left hand, right shoulder, and abdomen. Police say his last known address is in Little Creek, DE.
His whereabouts are currently unknown and unauthorized. Anyone who may have information on Whitaker or his whereabouts should call 800-542-9524 or their local police department.
