Del. hospital employee arrested for theft of prescription drugs
DOVER, Del. – A Bayhealth Kent General Hospital employee is facing charges for theft of prescription drugs after it was learned that he was stealing from the pharmacy he worked in.
We’re told that Public Safety officers from the hospital were made aware of suspected drug thefts from a pharmacy within the hospital and notified police.
Further investigation led police to learn that 48-year-old Paul Davis was reportedly stealing several prescription pills while working in the pharmacy over the past year.
Davis was taken into custody at his residence on Tuesday and charged with four counts of acquire or obtain possession of prescription pills by theft, and possession with intent to deliver tier 4 prescription pills.
He was released on $72,000 unsecured bond.
